Client/Group progress summary

The client reported that she’s had a few job interviews and has been rejected a lot. She appeared to be more anxious than before and was scratching her head a lot and fidgeting. She did report that she had conversations in the last week with family where she hasn’t felt like she needed to argue or defend herself because she’s been applying the Locks and Keys. She said that she feels like the practices are helping her.

Reflection and self-evaluation

This week we started with centering and I found that this helped her calm down a lot. She was more readily willing to sit in silence and listen when we talked. I saw a far faster relaxation than in prior weeks. We are at a place in our sessions where I think surfacing some grief practices would be helpful but I will play it by ear until I feel that she is ready.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.

Yoga Nidra focused on tensing and releasing to help the client with emotional self regulation. Cognitive defusion guided meditation to alleviate attachments to negative thoughts about self and attachments to thoughts that cause suffering. This meditation will be about placing thoughts as they arrive in the mind on a leaf and letting them float by down a stream.
