Client/Group progress summary

Calm energy today. It was self care day at the center, so they were looking forward to massages, and special activities. Many sat in meditation during the sound bath. I wasn’t even sure they would stay for it, but many did, and appeared relaxed and expressed gratitude for the opportunity.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I was surprised by the meditators during the sound bath.
I wish I had talked a bit more about what to expect, and the options for participation. They want to do it again, so I’ll have another chance.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Next session is a stress management focus. I’ll be talking more during class to highlight certain practices - self-soothing, calming breathing, etc. - that we will discuss more during the talk/Q&A part of the session. Otherwise it will be a fairly typical sequence, probably without the challenging brain activities and the extra strength poses.
More gentle stretches, and really mindful dynamic movement to process stress, and emphasis on soothing practices afterward.
