Client/Group progress summary

This was the second session and Client appreciated all of the practices.

I was looking to see if the client displayed any “vampire spots” of tension while she did any of the practices and I did not see any. I also asked her if she felt any tension while she did the practice and she did not. This mostly happens when she is active and she is mindful of being aware of this.

She was very open to the guided meditation on Jesus Christ and his love and white light coming from him, as depicted on one of her favorite pictures.

Client clarified that although her two grandchildren are not working nor are they in school, she does “not get desperate” over this. During the meditation, client was guided to see her grandchildren surrounded by a white light and to trust that they will be taken care of.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I was looking to see if the client displayed any “vampire spots” of tension while she did any of the practices and I did not see any. I also asked her if she felt any tension while she did the practice and she did not.

Client was very comfortable with the guided meditation on visualizing Jesus Christ, and visualizing her grandchildren surrounded by a white loving light followed by prayer.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

In next session I will also explain the basics of the findings on the scientific research that I’ve been reading, specifically, MBSR in Older Adults at Risk for Coronary Artery Disease – the findings show lowering of cholesterol.
