Client/Group progress summary

Per PEG and Global Health assessment, the client is doing slightly better. Interestingly, the score of questions that related to mental/emotional health is worse than the first session. I asked the client about his thoughts on the result. He told me that he did not aware of his mental state until I mentioned it in the earlier session. I told him that it was good that he became aware of his mental state and we could begin to address it.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I find that the measurement result is interesting. My initial thought was that it was good that my client became aware of his mental state. Nevertheless, after I thought about it a bit more, I was unsure whether it was a good thing to make him realizing that. During our last group meeting, the mentor and my peers assured me that it was a good thing. Now, I feel better about it.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
