Homework assignment to client/group

1. Here’s the yoga nidra link again, in case you want to try it:Yoga Nidra for Deep Rest - 10 Minutes
2. Your foundation practice is spending time in nature, consciously as a witness to your mind, paying attention on purpose without judgment.
3. On rainy days - go outside anyway!! Consider the other ideas we talked about: music, moving, and singing along; get some dirt in some pots and grow some seeds or small plants; or take a drive 🙂
4. You’re benefiting from your practices during the night, such as letting the thoughts go until morning, counting your breaths, practicing the 3-part breath. Remember that when you want to access your nervous system and press the calm button, you can breathe through your nose, belly breathe, and lengthen your exhale, adding a block or book to your belly if that helps you.
5. Continue with the gentle mobilization of your legs/knees, lifting each leg and extending within a comfortable range of movement.
6. I’m going to cautiously recommend this book based on a few things you said yesterday, especially about being so in tune and influenced by your husband’s mood and comments: Thriving as an Empath: 365 Days of Self-Care for Sensitive People by Judith Orloff. If you’re not too sure, you can take a look at my copy and see if it resonates with you.

Reflection and self-evaluation

It was good to have the challenge to do chair yoga this week.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Wait and see if the client is still in boot . . .
