Homework assignment to client/group

For your physical body - continue the gentle mobilization of your joints. Add some tense and release to process stress.

For your energetic body - try the physiological sigh - breathe in, breathe in more, let it out with a big sigh.
I love that you’ve noticed that you need to have your feet on the ground, and how that feels!

For your emotions - you’ve started to notice where you feel emotions in your body. Part of the niyama practice - for ishvara pranidhana - is to observe your reactions and look for patterns. You had a good start to that right away during our meeting. Let me know how that goes for you this week.

Remember to “feel it - let it go” as needed - breathing in to feel whatever it is, breathing out to let it go.

For your mind - you said you’ve been working on not overthinking. Give your mind something to do, like using your senses - noticing what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste.
The practice for ishvara pranidhana from the book The Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele:
“Watch your attitude and responses to the moment. Are you fearful, trusting, fighting, judging, or annoyed? Notice if there is a pattern to your attitude.” And you can take it that step further and decide to change your attitude or your response.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I found out today that I’m not very clear (in my classes as a whole) about taking practices off the mat.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Continue with weekly practices from Y&N book
