Homework assignment to client/group

Physical - set up a yoga space, or at least have a plan for where you could put out a yoga mat easily to do a few poses or stretches during the day.

Weight - as I read more of the research, I’ll have more to share. For now, continue to focus on stress management and mitigation, reframing and releasing the stress that comes up as part of life. I forgot to give you the Ayurvedic Tri-dosha test, which I think could be useful. I’ve attached it. If you have time to print and fill it out, that’s great. If not, I’ll bring them again on Wednesday. No need to score it, I'll do that.

Energetic - HA breath & Diaphragmatic breathing - Here’s one explanation of the diaphragmatic breathing practice. It’s slightly different from what we practiced, but basically the same. *notice how you feel*

Emotional / Intellectual - combined this week, because these practices can be for either…
Ishwara Pranidhana - “ This week practice welcoming each moment and growing yourself into the opportunity of what is being offered and asked of you. When you find yourself shrinking away, trust that life is giving you a chance to step into a fuller, more skillful you. Support yourself with these words from Pablo Picasso, ‘I am always doing that which I cannot do,in order that I may learn how to do it.’ Become a skillful, worthy student of each moment that life presents to you.”
Think about how you can ensure you have pockets of calm when the house project starts: places to rest your gaze and your mind that stay cleared of the clutter of construction.

Working on getting comfortable discussing weight with someone in a larger body…

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
