Homework assignment to client/group

Journaling on attachment and aversion
Alternate nostril breathing

Activities

Shared my copies of various translations of the Yoga Sutras, and discussed how to find/use them.
Reviewed the handout on the 4 locks and 4 keys, and discussed how clients used this in daily life this week. All agreed that the 4th one (indifference toward those doing unvirtuous deeds) is the most difficult.
Reviewed Raja Yoga handout. Expanded on this by providing another handout going deeper into the kleshas, particularly attachment and aversion with a journaling homework assignment.
Asana: Standing and seated chair practice including chair sun salutations
Eye exercises
Pranayama: alternate nostril breathing

Client/Group progress summary

One client was absent today. The client who was absent last week was present today. She said she just totally forgot what day it was and forgot to come to class last week. I shared about what she missed and gave her the handout she missed on the 4 locks and 4 keys. Overall, this group continues to work well together and enjoy the teachings and practices.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Honestly, I wasn't much into the discussion or the practice today, but I was able to do what I intended to do for the group. I'm basically tired and burned out. I'd love to take a break or go away on vacation but can't afford to do that at this point.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
