Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them. Your care plan proposal should be approved by the mentor before session 2 if possible, or 3 if approval is delayed by mentor.

Homework assignment to client/group
HA breath, ahimsa, continue with new gym routine and curiosity toward the “you are not doing enough” voice, asking it to move along.
The exercise in the Yamas and Niyamas book is to do something outside of your comfort zone, so the HW is to brainstorm a list of things she wants to try - big or small, anything.
Activities
Check in.
Reading - guest house, ahimsa.
Centering with ahimsa
Seated spinal movements
Table movements
Prone - explored cobra and made adjustments; feel 3 part breath in back
Stand - spinal movements, chair (pose) flow, Triangle flows
Balancing star
Seated gate flow
Supine legs up. w/w
Relax with gravity, add slight tension (because she’s prone to muscle cramping and tense and release has been known to bring that on, so I’m working with a gentler version)
Sound (bowl) relaxation
Seated meditation with ahimsa
HA - practice, progression, adjustments
Client/Group progress summary
FINALLY practiced yoga nidra at home!!!! And slept better than she has in years.
Tried changing focus at the gym - felt the voice of judgment, so we talked about how that can be just like how she responds to others (that’s your opinion).
Feeling well on all levels today, happy and no pain worth mentioning or addressing.
Practicing HA breath - I noticed first she’s running out of air, then noticed she’s lifting her shoulders whether hand isn’t on her belly, so we made some adjustments.)
Reflection and self-evaluation
I didn’t get to go over the dosha assessment at this session - we ran out of time. I’m not sure how to get everything in with this one in less than 2 hours, but there’s always next time, and I plan to write something up.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
I’ll be interested to hear if she practices nidra again - I think she might.
I want to get into the yama practice and the exercises in the Yamas and Niyamas book, and hear if she came up with something to do outside of her comfort zone.
