Client/Group progress summary

Client is committed to her yoga practice and trying out asanas, breathing, etc. throughout the week. She continues to push herself and is more open in sharing about that. No interest in gentle or restorative practices - must serve a purpose to support her with strengthening, mobility and flexibility. She did enjoy Kirtan Kriya and found it beneficial with her anxiety.

Reflection and self-evaluation

I enjoyed being spontaneous as we improvised with her asana sequence. I had planned on continuing with the spine lengthening / strengthening sequence. When she mentioned her tight calves, I had a variety of ideas for us to explore. It was fun getting in there and playing - see what was working and what wasn't. I offered a couple of asanas that weren't appropriate for her due to spondylolisthesis - that was OK. She spoke up and / or I quickly remembered. Will be sure to be more mindful of clients' conditions, limitations, etc. going forward.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Continue with working on tight calves as well as spinal sequence. Offer Nadi Suddhi for its calming effects. Continue with Kirtan Kriya. Possible guided meditation and closing discussion as we complete our work together.
