Client/Group progress summary

Client was in good spirits, very engaged in the session. Spent time exploring each of the physical practices, asked questions, shared where he felt the effort of each exercise as well as the stretch in his body.

Reflection and self-evaluation

Focus of the session was on breath awareness and physical practice. I still felt uncertain as to how to introduce and incorporate raja yoga with the client as his interest in very much in asana to reduce the experience of pain. I feel like it's totally an issue of my confidence in sharing the tools with him - and with his strong background in science/medicine, feeling like I should also share appropriate evidence and research that supports the practices - evidence I just need to take the time to organize and share with him.

Final Client/Group ReportAfter seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session

Review the exercises - see how his practice has gone (next session is scheduled for 7 June). Still looking for ways to incorporate/share some Raja yoga without forcing/imposing.
