Please include at least one suggestion from Karma, Bhakti, Raja, or Jnana Yoga tailored for this client/group.
Over time, we want to see something from each branch, selected, adapted and re-framed appropriately. Tools from each module should be used (not on each client/group – but overall)
The outline should show the sequence of practices as you plan to offer them. Your care plan proposal should be approved by the mentor before session 2 if possible, or 3 if approval is delayed by mentor.

Homework assignment to client/group
Work is ultra busy with deadlines and pressure. She is going to set an alarm for breaks, where she will get up, walk around, stretch, drink water, maybe go outside time and weather permitting.
She will continue to progress with her HA breathing practice, and do the next weekly practice in the Yamas and Niyamas (week 2 Ahimsa)
Activities
Check in.
We were not feeling “sitting still” so we centered and moved gently through sufi grinds, and seated spinal movements, with awareness to the breath and body.
Table to move forward and back, and kidney squeeze.
Prone for cobra and ironman, with pauses to breathe into the belly, feel it and let it go, and then to feel 3-part breath along the back body.
Then standing for high lunges (dynamic and static), goddess with hands overhead, and ½ sun sals. Some very slow speed forward folds, standing cobras (outside 90) and whole body shoulder rolls. (working out the tension in the upper traps)
Back to the floor for spinal balance, boat with variations (legs on bolster), and w/w with twist.
Supine for bridges. More w/w.
Savasana with slow and gentle relaxation - gravity, grounding, subtle tense and release, Tibetan bowl.
More in the HA breath progression - we’ve worked up to 15 expulsions at a time.
Wisdom teaching on the yama - right on time!
Client/Group progress summary
Client came in stressed, said she did “nothing” of the HW this week. I told her that’s ok, we can have a redo if necessary. Turns out, she did everything except make the list of things she was scared to do (from the Yama and Niyama book assignment for the week) BUT she actually did do something she was afraid to do (speaking up for herself at work).
She’s stressed, but she still did her breathing practice, her JFS practice, went outside for meditation, and she did yoga nidra several nights.
Her upper traps were tight, but otherwise she’s great, and also hard on herself.
ADDING: client reported not even needing her regular glass of wine to get through this stressful time at work. She's been able to access the peace within.
Reflection and self-evaluation
I was prepared to reset the week after getting an email from the client saying she didn’t have time to do “anything”. Instead, I answered her with questions - did you do x? How about y? Every answer was yes.
Do you have an alarm on your phone or watch? What do you think would be good to do on your breaks?
I'm learning from my health coaches - how they respond to everything with a question.
I’ve not been 100%, but I think we had a good session.
Final Client/Group Report
After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report.
Plan for next session
I really want to look more into the dosha assessment.
And build on the strength asana that we are incorporating.
Continue with ahimsa, and maybe build on the self-compassion aspect with the things I've been bringing to the senior CC MON class.
