| Homework assignment to client/group | 1. Ask yourself: How can I apply these teachings to my daily practice?
2. Practice the 5 first asanas (or 4, or 3, or 2, or 1) of Dr Loren Fishman's series, but do it every day. Let's practice abhyasa and vairagya while performing the asanas.
3. Between asanas, stop and observe the flow of energy in your body.

| Activities | Yoga Philosophy: Abhyasa and vairagya
Abhyasa (effort, regularity in your practice) and vairagya (detachment to desires) are the two wings of the bird of Self-realization.
We need a goal to what we want to achieve but we cannot expect the results will be the way we want. Letting go of expectations or desires can soften the muscles and the mind. Swami Satchidananda says: “Do your best and live the rest”.
Consciousness is elevated by Abhyasa (Devoted Practice) and Vairagya (Remembering the Self). Devoted Practice, Abhyasa, cultivates the unfolding of consciousness. Abhyasa is nurtured by a sustained, steady rhythm and a dedicated heart.
With constant Remembrance of the Self, Vairagya., all yearnings fade. When consciousness unites, it remains clear and unaffected by the external changes of nature, the gunas. This is the ultimate Vairagya. By cultivation of Abhyasa and Vairagya, the intellect becomes keen, reasoning is clear, bliss is reflected to all, and outward identification unites with the Supreme Consciousness.

| Client/Group progress summary | CSD came today but was feeling sore from her work on the farm. They all liked that we had half of the asana sequence, they felt more comfortable. Most of them are not regular in their practice.
|
|---|
| Reflection and self-evaluation | I was glad I gave just half of the sequence, although Dr Loren recommends doing the whole sequence.

| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |

| Plan for next session | Yoga Philosophy: Spiritual Battle of everyday life depicted in the Bhagavad Gita.
The Kurukshetra battle is a representation of our inner battle. We think our old habits are part of us, but we are much more than our habits, thoughts, or sensations.
On the third chakra, we can experience the sense of self, our personality, our purpose in life, and the power to fulfill his purpose or dharma. When practicing your asanas for bone health, mainly Warrior II, consider the victorious warrior aspect and visualize victory in each cell in your body. Each cell works for your own good, like soldiers on the battlefield of life.
Affirmation: “I am actively calm. I am a Prince of peace sitting on the throne of poise, directing the kingdom of activity.” Paramahansa Yogananda
Today we will be aware of our lumbar/fire chakra or Manipura.
Element: fire
Purpose: Transformation
Issues: energy, activity autonomy, individuation, will power, self-esteem.
Location: solar plexus
Demon: shame
