CLOSING
|
|---|
| Client/Group progress summary | The group felt relaxed after the savasana.
L had an MRI with contrast and her veins were sore but she was able to practice everything. S.'s neck was not relaxed during the practice but relaxed when I told her to release the neck more.
|
|---|
| Reflection and self-evaluation | The group doesn’t talk much about themselves. They’re more used to yoga classes. They are my friend’s students. I don’t think they know the difference between yoga class and yoga therapy, I’ll talk to them about it next time.
|
|---|
| Final Client/Group Report | After seeing your client/group (for at least 4 sessions including interactive intake)
Please remember practicum is a learning experience. You’ll learn more from sharing what’s accurate than from what might “look good”. Things you did well, not so well, problems and questions are all valid and useful tools to teach you. We can’t serve you to become the best clinician you can be if you don’t share your challenges and mistakes. Success is anything from which you learn. You can continue to add Session entries after submitting this Final Client/Group Report. |
|---|
| Plan for next session | The 5 kleshas or obstacles – raga, dvesa, asmita, abhinivesa, avidya. Yoga can remove these obstacles.
Anahata chakra is blocked by GRIEF. Unblock it with love, compassion, peace.
Warm-ups, moon salutation, tadasana, breath of joy, child’s, viparita with block, supine twist, and savasana.
Pranayama: alternate nostril breathing
Meditation “I am love” (adapted from Yoga for your mood deck, Amy Weintraub)
In a seated position, allow your eyes to soften or close. Find a soothing image, maybe from nature or a time when you've felt loved and calm. You can also visualize a word like "peace" or "love." Inhale your arms out in front of your heart. Pause and see that image or the word in your heart's mind. Draw your hands to your heart in Hridaya or inner guidance Mudra chant "YAM," which is the bija mantra for the heart center. Repeat three times.
