Goal could be more specific - what pranayama practice? and 10 mins is a long time to begin with. Could offer to start small and simple with more likleyhood of completion vs. failure and work up to 10 mins by the end of the week/time period to practice - ie several weeks. Also - another place for evidence/research citation.

Your reflections are wonderful and realizing that the original plan was too aggressive and being able to change mid stream are really important lessons that will continue to be refined over time.
