Application of Key Teaching Feedback

Applying your key teaching of Balasana for calming the mind and stress reducing was clearly explained. I would recommend you consider adding calming pranayama breathing before and or during the practice in your next sessions with him and not wait for a few months to pass. Also not sure how you transitioned him out but would recommend him coming out of the asana very slowly and mindfully- as to not lift the head so fast- as slow as molasses and to keep the head chin tucked slightly down and eye closed up until the very last moment coming out of the pose. that is how he will get the most benefit out of the pose.

At first I was concerned about you setting your client up in Balasana with Osteoarthritis. I would normally choose an extension or supported heart opener but when you mentioned he is not kyphotic I thought Ok this will work with props. Being overwhelmed and over worked Balasana was a great choice for him. Great job! I'm sure he loved every minute. I would recommend you follow up after a month with a supported heart opener with pranayama.
