Application of Key Teaching Feedback

Sometimes envisioning the practice is very difficult, but I like that you directed (suggested) to him to practice at some point.
I know he has high stress but maybe it would have been a useful tool for him, or you could have created, a log for him where
he could have jotted down how long he practiced and rated his stress level on a scale of 1-5, something super simple.
Maybe next time!

Integration and Originality Feedback

You demonstrated consideration and thought in how to help decrease stress levels for your client from the viewpoint of raja yoga!

Reflection on your reflection: the sentence that reads: he reported "He liked it better when we did it together."
Watch this in future sessions. As a yoga therapist, we don't want to influence our client's by practicing with them. (I know it is very difficult).
The problem then becomes exactly what he said. . . our work is to help the individual develop self-agency so they discover the benefits of a particular practice for themselves. Of course a brief demonstration is valuable. 🙂

- It would have been nice to see how the breathing practice could have benefited him while at work since that was one of the main goals (seemingly from the perspective of the yoga therapist). So once he shared with you his hesitation to practice at work this would have been a good opportunity to offer another breathing practice.
- Encouraging you client to use the practice during his commutes is a wonderful approach to helping him integrate coping skills into
his daily activities.
- I like that in your reflection you realized that offering him another breathing technique would have been beneficial.
- You can also offer a BBB (as one of my students called it: a Bathroom Breathing Break) while at work).

Watch the overuse of the word "DID" For example this paragraph is a little clunky to read:
He did report back to me that he was able to do it a few times in the morning and once visualizing during his commute but didn't do it at work. He expressed when he did do alternate nostril breathing, he did feel relaxed and would try to do it more. He did like it better when we did it together.

Good work Jeannie!!
