| Total Score | 90 |
|---|
| Scope - Key teaching and goal identified; appropriately applied to client/group throughout TCA | |
|---|
| Feedback on Scope | Beautiful way to incorporate several branches of IY for this client to help manage the anger issue
|
|---|
| Comprehension of Core Concepts - Demonstrates a clear understanding of concepts from the training and IY with the integration of critical thinking skills in goal and implementation. | |
|---|
| Feedback on Comprehension of Core Concepts | Well thought through, complete and thorough, description of branches (substitute Raja for Hatha) and it clearly shows how each piece of the plan is meant to deal with the issues moving through the koshas with physical movement, breathing, and jappa prayer meditation
|
|---|
| Analysis of Key Issues - Shows consideration of specific client/group, IY, core training, and Yoga Therapy. | |
|---|
| Analysis of Key Issues Feedback | Looks to be well thought out, 10 mins 2x a day may or may not be doable for someone, I like to start small, see some success and add on, but if your client related well to the asana, maybe he will sustain that, but watch out for the back.....
|
|---|
| Application Key teaching and goal are clearly and appropriately addressed in plan and follow up. | |
|---|
| Application of Key Teaching Feedback | And the plan doesn't always go according to plan, which is why a back up plan is always nice to have in the back pocket. Your advice for follow up is great - go slowly, not sure if he will heed your advice, time will tell. Some clients are interested in the science or the philosophy and want to know why, or the benefits and other do not and won't listen when you try.....to each their own. You can sneak some in during asana - during pigeon for example, there's plenty of time to share a teaching....or benefit
|
|---|
| Relevance and Accuracy - Justifies methods and application. | |
|---|
| Relevance and Accuracy Feedback | While there was nothing formally cited, your description of the IY branches Hatha=asana, pranayama Raja=philosophy are excellent sources to use for your prep for this client. You also mentioned your new knowledge about anger issues and how bad that is for mental health. Some outside resource should be used to support your key teaching/plan or goal.
|
|---|
| Integration and Originality - Exhibits critical thinking and individualized approach to TCA. Shows a difference between Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist approach. | |
|---|
| Integration and Originality Feedback | Integrating the pray with the intention and meaning behind it, the respect of the client's religious beliefs and willingness to adapt even though not necessary shows such compassion and respect, very tailored to this particular client.
|
|---|
| Observations, Recommendations, Alternative Solutions - Reveals significant reflection and understanding of population and key teaching. Displays ability to adapt, adjust, accommodate. | |
|---|
| Observations, Recommendations, Alternative Solutions Feedback | It's hard when you come up with a plan, know exactly what you think you will do and the client has other ideas, it happens, it happens often. Sometimes, it's best to go over basics and get moving - and this would be a good client to try that approach with next session.
Love his addition to the prayer and that it got stuck in his head, a Mantra - what a fantastic teaching in and of itself. The plan was successful and glad that he honestly told you he didn't answer all of the questions, so maybe next time - the follow up-homework is more doable so that it will be sustainable.

| Writing Skills and Professional Presentation - TCA is presented in professional manner. | |

| Writing Skills and Professional Presentation Feedback | very well thought out and expressed, well done
