| What are your expectations as a student? What do you hope to gain, learn, or work on? | I feel like this is a giant step forward in my practice of Yoga because it will expose me to more needs than just teaching asana. | List any interesting things you would like to share about yourself | I have been a part of the Integral Yoga community since about 1986. At that time a friend introduced me to Integral Yoga Natural Foods Store, which was located on 14th street. I applied for a job and began to work at the store part-time for a couple of years. Thereafter, I shopped at the store and I always loved going there. This was my first exposure to anything Yoga. In 2007 I decided and needed to make a change in my life and becoming a Yoga teacher was the best way to do that, so I enrolled in beginner's Hatha Yoga class. Throughout the years I and most of my family members have been a part of Integral Yoga - my husband, sister, and bother in-law have all worked at the Natural Food store. My niece became the youngest Yoga Instructor teacher at IYI. I and my husband's family members have have attended classes and holiday festivities at IYINY. My husband and I have attended events and retreats at Yogaville. I believe that the Integral Yoga Institution has helped shape my life and I am very grateful for all of it. | |||||||||
