My daily practice began 10 years ago when I did my first 200 hour training. I currently have a very gentle and mindful practice of Hatha Yoga. I work more on a spiritual connection in my asana. Recently I have started teaching at Senior Independent and Assisted Living communities and a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I also taught for the Veterans Administration and a Mindfulness program at a Medical Clinic. I currently teach at an alternative and holistic community mental health center. I have started and managed programs within large County Programs and understand policies and procedures of public institutions.

Please describe your studies and understanding of Ayurveda.

I have no training of Ayurveda. I have read a few books many years ago.

Please describe your studies and understanding of yoga philosophy.

Yoga literally saved my life. I am very passionate about it. I understand yoga as the most powerful method of healing on the planet that can engage people physically, emotionally and spiritually.

What are your expectations as a student? What do you hope to gain, learn, or work on?

I hope to be engaged physically, emotionally and spiritually in a rigorous well rounded program that will give me skills to work as a Yoga Therapist in hospitals. I would like to be a part of a spiritual community that can support me professionally and personally. I want top rated instructors. I want diversity. I want a program that is going to see me as a unique individual who can successfully complete your program with special accommodations that will consider my health condition.

Why do you want to enroll in Integral Yoga Therapy Certification (IYTh)?

I want a rigorous program that can engage all levels of medically treating the individual. I would also like a spiritual community. I live only a few hours from Yogaville and I think it would be nice to be connected to a local community. This is my main reason for choosing Yogaville over many other excellent programs. I took classes many years ago with a teacher who graduated from yoga Integral Yoga Program and he is a fantastic and very successful teacher. Also, one of my mentors is Richard Miller from iRest personally thinks your program could accommodate my needs.

How do you intend to use yoga therapy in your practice, both personally and professionally?

I plan to apply what I learn in my personal life to contribute to my overall state of balance and recovery. I would like to see private clients, continue my work in a community mental health center and see clients in a hospital setting.

Given your current or future commitments, how will you create the time and space to achieve your goals for the IYTh program and fulfill all of the training requirements?

I am very busy teaching right now, but I will be able to take time away from teaching to complete your program. I have no future commitments. My life will continue to prioritize my teaching and completing your program.

List any interesting things you would like to share about yourself

I am a dedicated, ambitious and hard working individual that has overcome many serious struggles and traumas both as a child and adult. I have determination and faith in myself, other people and Essential Nature. I have high expectations of my self that are related with self love, self compassion, love of others, and Universal Consciousness. You could go to my website www.mindhealthyoga.com to learn more about me and read the testimonial page. Also, I have been with my husband for 17 years. I have no children, but a beloved miniature apricot poodle. I am in connection with the Founder of Mediyoga, Goran Boll, who was able to get Yoga Therapy into 25% of Swedish hospitals. I will be meeting with him personally in Sweden this June to discuss how we could bring yoga therapy into hospitals in the United States. I am very close to my family members and have several close friends who are yoga teachers and yoga therapists. I love nature and walking in the forest and camping. I am a happy person and so grateful for being able to come this far in my life with the help of others and my belief in higher spiritual principles.

Are there any current scheduling conflicts or anticipated events that could affect your ability to attend any of the scheduled modules?

I will be attending a one week Level Two iRest Yoga Nidra Training this Sept. 14-17.

Please list three references we can contact regarding your IYTh application. One of these references must be deeply steeped in the Integral Yoga Tradition. Please provide name, position, phone, and email address.

I need to ask people, but I don't think I will have a problem finding references. But I don't know someone in the Integral Yoga Tradition. I was thinking about taking your Yoga and Neuroscience Training in July and then asking the teacher for a reference or maybe you have another solution. It would be better financially if I could start your program first.
