Please describe your studies and understanding of Ayurveda.

I studied Ayurveda during my Yoga Teacher Training courses in India and before that I read some books.
Ayurveda is an ancient science from India and it means knowledge of life and longevity. It uses diet, herbs, massages, and some procedures like panchakarma to eliminate toxins from the body. After knowing their dosha (vata, pita, kapha), the patients will get the appropriate medicine for their disease. It's a very different approach from Western medicine, because it's more holistic one. It heals the patient, not the disease.

Please describe your studies and understanding of yoga philosophy.

I have studied some Vedanta, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita. I study Raja Yoga through my Guru's (Paramahansa Yogananda) teachings.
It's so much to say! But my main understanding I think is that we're SAT CHIT ANANDA, eternal Being or Truth (Sat), - infinite consciousness (Chit), and - ever new Bliss (Ananda).

What are your expectations as a student? What do you hope to gain, learn, or work on?

I hope to gain more knowledge about yoga healing in the several layers (body, mind and soul)
