I started practicing asana to alleviate pain in my lower back. Through asana classes, I learned that yoga comprised much more that the postures. Through the practice I discovered the yamas and niyamas and become very interested in yogic philosophy. After several retreats I enrolled in Abhaya Yoga 200 and 300 hour training program. I practice yoga everyday, through a combination of asana, pranayama, mantras and meditation. I've found this practice necessary to regulate my nervous system, calming anxiety and releasing negative self talk. | ||||||
