Adaptive Yoga has taught me to adapt Hatha Yoga poses so that yoga is accessible to clients who cannot do classic Hatha Yoga.

Client’s goal is to improve flexibility and agility. Meet for two sessions to teach joint freeing movements, adapted yoga poses and pranayama. First session will be recorded so that client can follow along at home. Practice will be for 20 - 25 minutes two days a week to begin with, and increasing the number of days to three or more thereafter.

Female in her early 60’s. Client is a grandmother and takes care of her grandchild a few days a week. Client has the practice of ‘walking’ laps at the gym swimming pool for 40 to 50 minutes once a week for exercise. Client has joint pain especially in the hands and knees and walking in the water is less painful for her knees. Client is overweight, and has some health issues which include asthma, acid reflux, high cholesterol, and heart pain.
